Fix HP Pavilion DV5000 Mute Button Problem

The mute button on HP Pavillion dv 5000 gets problems. The light doesn’t turn on when it user turn the mute on and it’s supposed to. This mute light off issues appears once dv 5000 updates to Windows 7. Since there is only Vista and XP drivers for this laptop he has then he’s got an ask, which the right one better to use?
Basically, if there is a driver the most current one is the one to use Vista. It could be in any one of the quick launch keyboard drivers. Firstly, you should know exactly, are you using 32 or 64 bit?

You can install the download drivers in compatibility mode. Just click on the setup.exe file, go to the Properties, and check the Run in box. After select the Vista, you can install.
In case the mute icon on dv 5000 keyboard keeps on making a sound whenever it turns to orange and sometime the laptop get freezes, might it caused of something related to the sound device. If so then you need to install the file called sp41693.exe that can be download from HP site.
