Resolve Aspire 5520 DVD Undetect in Windows 7
Posted by: admin
Many people that have already have their computer powered with Windows Vista very often want something more on their computer, especially Acer Aspire 5520, by installing Windows 7 to it. Yet, many of them do not realize that this can cause a problem to them. The most occurred problem that is faced by these people is that DVD is not detected when they use Windows 7 from Windows Vista.
It is very often that they find all performs well except for the CD burning or the DVD. The other thing that very often becomes also the stressing problem is the device manager that reports that there are two devices that have not the driver installed. It is the “other devices”, that are the base system-PCI bus 1, device 4, and function 3.
Though the problem has been recognized, it is still not easy to fix this problem. The user of the laptop might have been searching for the driver for their Acer Aspire 5520, but there is no driver available, even also the driver update. The missing Windows 7 driver when someone changes their Windows Vista to the Window 7 can be fixed by uninstalling the CD/DVD burner driver. After uninstalling, the user should restart the computer. If the user is lucky enough, the Windows will detect the devices and install it automatically.
